A lovely, rustic ambience. Service staff were welcoming and friendly. The food did not disappoint. Their fresh bread from the oven, was just perfectly baked and warm when served. Sydney Oysters were fresh and the beef tartare with black pepper and anchovies was just so flavoursome. The grass fed 1kg rib eye steak just melted in our mouths. The desserts were delicious and ended the dinner perfectly.

After reading all the reviews I must admit my expectations were high. We were welcomed by friendly staff at front of house, they staff had remembered that we had a birthday celebration and promptly wished the birthday guest a happy birthday. We were shown to our comfortable seats and intimate table. Overall the staff were all really great, service is prompt and attentive without being overbearing. However I have some regrets about the food, the steak is good but at 220 a pop I was expecting a lot more quality. The lamb was extremely fatty and we found it a little hard to eat. They did provide a little ice cream courtesy for the birthday which was nice.

I visited Fred’s for dinner on Friday night and wow!!! Is all I can say. From the moment you enter this restaurant, you know you’re in for a treat. I loved the atmosphere, the rustic feel, the service and the food. It’s 100 percent farm to table, everything was so fresh and delicious. The 1kg steak was a big hit and the cocktails were fantastic. Couldn’t fault this place at all, service was also amazing and I can’t wait to return

Exceptional. Walking into Fred’s feels like stepping into a warm, rustic home in the French countryside. Staff are gifted in their skills and attentive with their time; and the food is divine. The culinary team prepared the most beautiful vegan dishes for me, off-menu which highlighted fresh, seasonal produce and were balanced for both taste and texture, to an art form. Every detail of service, through to food preparation and decor feels like it’s been crafted with deep purpose. I thoroughly enjoyed my experience at Fred’s.
